January  2010

Hello!

With the holidays just around the corner, (actually, 11 months) it’s a great time to consider those who are less fortunate than us.  With that in mind, how would you and your friends, family or colleagues like to volunteer to wrap presents at the 15th Annual Holiday Gift Wrap at Pacific Place Shopping Center sponsored by the Seattle Hospitality Industry?  We’re located in downtown Seattle, outside the Barnes and Noble entrance on the Concourse level.  We wrap n’ rap every year!

Proceeds from the Gift Wrap Project (GWP) go to the Forgotten Children’s Fund (FCF), an organization that delivers toys, bikes & warm coats to over 500 families in Seattle and King County on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day.   www.forgottenchildrensfund.org

Each year, our success in this endeavor relies heavily upon the hands-on contribution of people just like you.  At any given time, we have teams of 4-12 volunteers wrapping gifts at once, and this year we’d love to have one of those groups be yours!  We have figured out all the logistics; all you and your team have to do is SHOW-UP!

So become a GOOD SEATTLE SAMARITAN this holiday season and sign up to volunteer to wrap for a half-day or better yet…take an entire day.  It’s a great opportunity to practice a little team-building at your place of work while doing your part to help out the kids and community!

The Gift Wrap Center is open November 26th through December 24th and the hours are usually 10 a.m. to 8 p.m until the last week before Christmas.  For more information please visit our Calendar and Hours.

Please contact me, HOLLY at letswrap@comcast.net and together we can make a difference in a child’s life this holiday season!
